Chapter 1: The ReJig
It has been a century since humanity faced the cataclysmic event that would forever alter the course of our existence. A hundred years since the ReJig.
In the waning years of the 21st century, in the mad times, when humanity foolishly strangled our planet and ourselves, we were oblivious to what was coming. No one saw its pallid glow in the light polluted night sky, no one detected it on the countless instruments we had pointed into the voids beyond our atmosphere, in fact some say it just appeared, ripping through the fabric of our dimension like a rising leviathan, a vagrant ‘dark’ comet, an unstoppable celestial beast rampaging towards us billowing strange energies in its wake. We named the comet Fenrir after the world-burning wolf of Norse legend.

Fenrir did not collide directly with the Earth but as we passed through the detritus of its angry tail, our planet, already battered by the ravages of climate change and relentless global conflict, found itself subjected to an unimaginable onslaught of cosmic debris.
The celestial impacts caused immense physical destruction to the planet’s surface, wiping out plants and animals in their myriad and laying waste to humanities sprawling cities in violent storms and shockwaves of weird energy that twisted and corrupted the landscape. What was left was no longer the Earth we had known, it was changed, warped, it was re-rendered into something new…
